Every life is a work of art in progress. We are each called to dip into our soul and ‘paint’ a life that expresses our innate nature and fulfills our Purpose

The creative process is a discipline of inner awareness, a subtle practice of recognizing the creative impulse connecting us to our Soul and the Oneness of Creation. Immersed in creative awareness, we attune to the innate fluidity and vitality of Existence Itself.

Creativity invites us to receive guidance from silent deep knowing in our Soul, to receive humbly what the Unity of Creation wishes to give us.
When we are receptive to the creative urge, we collaborate with the Universe. Preconceived beliefs, formulas, and judgments fade as we experiences the vibrantly alive guidance of the Universal Creative Will and Intention.

Both creating and witnessing art enhances our feeling of connection with Source. Like prayer or meditation, but tangibly, art returns us to our essence.

Responding to art empowers us to trust our inner knowing, the knowing that lives in our Soul. Letting go of our mind’s duplicity, to see and respond with our heart is a powerful transformational act.

We reach a deep inner, serene stillness. We let go of self-consciousness, self-incriminating beliefs. We find our heart and the subtle responsive feelings that naturally arise within. When we see art in this authentic way, it restores and nourishes our soul. This is the power of art. We do not need any external learning to access this gift within ourselves. We just need to relax and trust its effect on us.

Since I have lived for years in the presence of original art, I am always struck by the emptiness of spaces that lack its enlivening vibration.

I suspect that Art has the power, profound as it is subtle to change the world by empowering moment to moment our deepest truest humanity.
The presence of Art is not a luxury; it is restorative of the wholeness of Life.

For seven decades my art has portrayed the spiritual dimensions of both the Soul and the wonders of Nature and the Family of Life.

Each painting flows out of my spiritual connection with both Earth and Spirit. This connection empowers the images to transmit healing energy into the surrounding space and a centering experience to the observer.
What I love about painting is the vibrant inner stillness that guides the hand in each moment. The power of that no-mind presence is so lovely.
That is why I love this quote from Art and Fear by David Bayles & Ted Orland,

An ancient tenet of Chinese painting holds that the Master paints not the created thing,
but the forces that created it.

What are the forces that created it? I am closest to those forces now, present in this moment, my consciousness rapt in a dynamic inner silence allowing those forces to reveal themselves through the fluidity of wet-on-wet watercolor, veil painting, the earthiness of pastels or the richness of oils.
Most of the original paintings in the following collections have been sold and are privately owned. A few are still available as are giclees (archival state of the art reproductions indistinguishable from originals) of some of the images. To the best of my ability, I bring that same presence in the moment and trust in Spirit’s guidance and creativity, to my sessions with each client I coach or counsel.
